Rayden and Joey
After hanging with Rayden and Joey for a few months, talking about various Bible stories, Rayden comes up to me and asks more about Jesus. He asked me all sorts of different questions, mostly about demons and their existence. We spoke about how there’s a spiritual war that’s been waged and even though we can’t physically see it, we need to always be ready for battle. I told him that the victory is already in Jesus and that we don’t need to be afraid because it’s not us fighting the battles, but Jesus through us if we follow Him. Rayden also wants to talk about baptism so we discussed what it was and why we are baptized after making a decision to follow Jesus. That day he made that decision!
Rayden’s friend Joey also wanted to know more about being baptized and following Jesus. He said he’s been battling sleep paralysis and wasn’t sure what to do about it until that previous night when he called out Jesus‘s name and he was released from his paralysis. I encouraged him and said Jesus is more powerful than any presence and we can count that no matter what we face will always have him in our corner. So I had the privilege and the honor to baptize both Rayden and Joey that day!
