Paitlyn serves on Campus Life student leadership at her school. Recently she shared with me about what Campus Life has meant to her. This is what she said!
“I was a freshman when my friend invited me to Campus Life. The leader Nathan was so welcoming that even when she left the school I kept going.
I grew up with my Grandma half time and was going to church as a kid, but then we moved and I fell out of it as I became a teenager. Campus Life really led me back into faith.
I just kept going because I liked it and the leaders made it fun. Nathan, for instance, is super encouraging, supporting and helps make the environment fun. I’m surrounded by amazing people, and their faith, and they were sharing it with me. It helped me a lot.
Sophomore year Nathan text me about joining leadership and I hopped in. The friends I’ve made are the greatest and we’ve started a YFC Girls Chat. I’m growing a lot and I feel like I’ve really changed.
I’m also going back to church too! Now I feel more confidence in my faith and open with it. I can openly pray and share Jesus with people too whereas before I didn’t associate as a Christian much. Now I serve as co-president at Campus Life and help welcome kids, do the announcements, pass out food, cheer kids along, and connect the club with the school admin.
This year I want God to move kids so they can see Him and find their faith in Him as well – It happened with me! Through Campus Life I hope God is able to spill into us so we can spill into others.
I want to thank the community for supporting the club, it helps! The pizza and hospitality let kids know we care and that we want them there.”
YFC is uniquely gifted and called to connect teens with the life-changing message of the gospel. Thank you for prayerfully considering a gift to fuel the mission and help connect kids to Jesus this Christmas.
