Joy and Courage

Campus Life is back!

What's it like to walk onto a high school campus as a Campus Life leader? See how God is raising up the next generation to share Christ with courage and joy.

Walking on campus I had butterflies. It’d been two months since doing club and I knew there would be new kids, new faces, and I was just really excited. I feel the great responsibility for helping kids meet Jesus and the enemy is always trying to make me feel not good enough so there was some trepidation too. But as soon as we got going I was just like “This Rocks, it’s the coolest thing I get to do in my life.”

It’s like a dog in an airport job. You’re telling me I get to sniff for a living and you’re gonna give me treats?!

At club rush I met a new kid who asked what the club was about. When she heard we were Christians who share scripture her face lit up and the joy came bubbling out. She was so happy and said this is so awesome because she had wanted to do something God-related.

At that campus I started the day with one student leader and I ended up with four. I’ve never had that happen!

Grace is another student leader and brings so much joy to my heart. The kids were all at the table talking to kids who were asking about club and I was out in the crowd engaging kids and pointing them to the table if they were interested. When I stepped away to talk with a teacher I looked back and there she was, now out from the table herself, engaging kids in the crowd. “These kids are gonna crush it” I thought.

We’ve had over 100 kids at our first Campus Life club at Garza. The excitement is there and kids want to go deeper.

This morning I sent out a devotional to the student leaders and one of them replied: “Yes Amen, I’m going to study it more today, it’s such an honor to be in this position with you guys, thank you for choosing me, I’m so happy!”

I’m obviously pumped and they are too. God’s moving in this generation and they are stepping up for Jesus with joy and courage on their campuses.

Fan the Flame

God is on the move!

We are praying, going and giving because we believe that Jesus is still about "seeking and saving the lost." You can hear how fired up and blessed Nathan is to be in it. And he's not alone - God's raising up students who are also about the Great Commission among their peers.

Right now YFC has the opportunity to equip and encourage young people to reach their friends for Christ. Will you join us in fanning the flame?
