Meg Simonson

Executive Assistant

My name is Meg Simonson, I have been happily married to my husband, Dustin Simonson, since October 2008. We’re originally from Modesto but decided to move south in the spring of 2019 to be closer to family. Since moving to Fresno, I have really enjoyed meeting and befriending our neighbors, finding a new church (prior to moving here, I was at the same church since I was 5!), and seeing how much heart the people of Fresno have! My husband and I have a real heart for community and neighboring, so we started with our neighbors as soon as possible when moving here. I love leading worship at my church and helping them in any way needed. In my spare time you can likely find me spending time with my family – especially my nephew and niece – doing macramé, cooking and eating, doing anything with art, drinking coffee, cheering on the San Francisco Giants, walking, and reading.

I come from an incredibly unique work background. I have had experience working in: food service, retail, as a behavioral therapist with autistic children, and my most recent job prior to working at Youth For Christ was working at the church I attended in Modesto, for 5 years. I worked in many different capacities, and for a few different pastors who oversaw various ministries. I feel my extremely random work background has helped me grow and learn in ways that have equipped me today for my job as an Executive Assistant at YFC. I love details, spreadsheets, organization, databases, working behind the scenes, and (my most favorite thing) helping others in any capacity – yes, this list may be strange, but these things make me happy! I feel extremely blessed and privileged to be able to work with the amazing staff we have at the Fresno/Madera chapter of Youth For Christ!
