City Life helps young people develop attitudes and behavior patterns that allow them to function more constructively in society. The City Life program emphasizes the following: 1) Teaching basic life skills. 2) Providing an opportunity for a relationship with a caring adult role model. 3) Promoting and developing positive self-image through Jesus Christ. 4) Creating opportunities for positive peer group experiences. 5) Sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While all of the Youth for Christ ministries share the same purpose they meet and interact with students in different areas.  City Life meets students in their neighborhood or small community.

City Life in Fresno is centered in the Lowell neighborhood and is also present in the Jefferson neighborhood. Once a week after school programs allow students opportunities to have mentors meet them for a time of tutoring, biblical teaching and of course some fun and games.
Friday nights are a wonderful opportunity to provide and safe and constructive place for youth to be. Adults who exemplify Christ’s love participate in relationships with the youth, giving them the opportunity to participate in positive activities including arts, music, crafts, sports and community service.
