November 2012

If you read this newsletter regularly, you know that it is not often that I directly ask for financial support. But there comes a time, a season, where we must. That time is now!

People often ask me how the ministry is going. I may be slightly biased, but I believe it is going great! Wonderful, committed and effective staff; a growing cadre of selfless volunteers; and more open doors than we can walk through… and therein lies the challenge. We are desperate to reach more kids! We are reaching over 3,000 kids each year, but there are more than 80,000 teens in our region who need to hear the gospel. We must do more!

As we enter the holiday season and approach the end of the year, I want to ask you to pray. Would you ask the Lord for his will regarding your end-of-year giving to YFC? Our funding goal through year end is $150,000.00. That’s a grand goal.

Most receiving this letter have already given. You may be giving all you can – and that is wonderful. Thank you! Our ministry moves forward because of hundreds upon hundreds of givers like you. But I want to ask those who are able to give something extra, something special, something sacrificial, at this year-end. Personally, I can’t think of a better way to spend our money than to use it to share Jesus Christ with kids. That’s an investment with infinite return.

We trust the Lord for the ministry of Fresno/Madera Youth for Christ. Thanks for trusting him along with us for your giving.

Ed Kaczmarek, Executive Director

P. S. We recently held our annual fundraising event, the YFC Comedy Café at the end of October. We’ll report on the results in our next newsletter.
